Registered Nurse (RN)

Dr. Arenia C. Mallory Community Health Center (MCHC) is looking for a passionate Registered Nurse (RN). The Registered Nurse is directly responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and scheduling of care for patients under their jurisdiction. This position will communicate with clinicians, patients, physicians, referral sources, and other service providers in order to maintain proper care coordination and continuity of care.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
  • Minimum Three Years of Experiences in Field and/or a Health-Related Agency or Facility
  • Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
  • Excellent knowledge of emergency care
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them at all times
  • A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Responsible and compassionate
  • Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Possess excellent problem-solving skills
  • Provider Life Support (BLS) Certification is Required
  • Valid Board Certification AND License in Related Professional Field Position
  • Background Check Is Required
  • TB Skin AND Drug Test Is Required
  • Must Be Able AND Willing to Travel, if needed to Canton, Durant, Greenwood, Lexington and/ or Tchula

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor a patient's condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice.
  • Process workflow for requested scheduled, missed, rescheduled, reassigned, declined, and delivered visits.
  • Observe and interpret patient's symptoms and communicate them to physicians.
  • Schedule patient care visits and assist with the coordination of patient care.
  • Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients.
  • Provide instant medical care in emergencies.
  • Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families.
  • Expand knowledge and capabilities by attending educational workshops, conferences, etc.
  • Responsible for management of patient referrals and visit schedules.
  • Responsible for addressing clinical inbox and/or all inquiries to ensure timely patient follow up.
  • Communicating with physicians and/or providers in regard to orders and patient progress information.
  • Update patients' electronic health records (EHR).
  • Review records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Observe confidentiality and safeguards all patient related information.
  • Maintain a good working relationship within the department and other departments.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Answering nurse's phone line and respond to voicemails in the clinical department.
  • Accumulate admissions and intake information.
  • Ensure efficient scheduling to enhance patient/staff satisfaction.
  • Other duties as identified and/or assigned.
