ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Serves as knowledge base for Informatics team. Provides leadership and guidance to coordinate priorities, train and coach the staff, and oversee performance.
Responsible for supervision and administration of the Patient Care Computer System and how it relates to the patient care policies, procedures, and process.
Serves as knowledgebase and provides leadership and oversight.
Leads and coordinates with Clinical and IT Leadership to improve clinical outcomes through process improvement within the clinical systems.
Provides on-going support including resolution of application system problems and development of enhancements to meet changing needs and priorities, post implementation; interfaces with clinical system vendors and serves as spokesperson.
Conducts and facilitates user trainings and ensures educational support for staff.
Responds to technical or procedural problems and diagnoses, resolves and closes customer issues according to service level guidelines. Promptly escalates issues to higher level technical support or management when necessary.
Evaluates and presents information and recommendations to committees and executive management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education
Associate’s Degree Nursing (ADN): Required
Bachelor’s Degree Nursing (BSN): Preferred
Three years clinical work experience Required
Required Skills
Licenses: Registered Nurse, KY
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Minimal completion of Level One on the Clinical Ladder Program annually for Full-time nurses. If not completed, employee forfeits the annual evaluation pay increase and possible termination.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
