Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.

· Welcome customers in the dental office.

· Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed in treatment room.

· Sterilize instruments according to regulations.

· Assist the dentist through 4-6 handed dentistry.

· Undertake lab tasks as instructed.

· Collecting and recording medical and dental histories and taking patient vital signs.

· Providing postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist.

· Giving patients information on dental hygiene, oral health care, and plaque control.

· Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked

· Take patient x-rays with digital sensors using holders.

· Take pano/ceph x-rays.

· Protect patient privacy (HIPAA).

· Scheduling patient appointments.

Office cleaning duties (mopping, sweeping etc.)
