Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
This is for someone who is not currently a RBT but is interested in becoming one. We will help you get your certification and get your Medicaid provider number.

What does a RBT do? At our company you would work one on one in a classroom with kids with Autism as well as in the home and community.

Kids get approved up to 40 hrs a week of therapy through Medicaid so you will have 1-2 clients assigned to you.

You will work on decreasing problem behaviors including but not limited to aggression (minor like pulling hair, scratching, hitting from little kids....), spitting, Self injurious behaviors (like them hitting or scratching themselves), and property destruction (ripping papers, swiping things off tables....)

While you work on increasing compliance, accepting no, functional communication, social skills, potty training, food programs, and more.

The steps to begin working include
1. get a level 2 and local background check

2. Take the 40 hr RBT training we offer

3. Take the competency assessment with me and turn in your paperwork to the BACB

4. Take the RBT exam with the BACB at a Pearson learning center (cost $100 and will be reimbursed after 90 days*)

5. Pass the RBT exam and officially be a RBT Woot woot. Now you need to turn in your paperwork to Medicaid.

6. While waiting on Medicaid approval (generally about 2 weeks) you need to complete some Medicaid training requirements to officially be able to start once approved. They are like 1 hr online free courses like Blood Borne Pathogeons and Zero tolerance and such.

Cost to become a RBT
1. Level 2 background check around $100
2. RBT exam $100 reimbursed after 90 days*
3. CPR/First Aid $15 reimbursed after 90 days*
4. Polk County Contractor Badge $75 reimbursed after 90 days*
5. Local Background check $1.50

*After 90 days of working for us!

After 90 day Probation you get a $2 a hour raise. : )

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
