VP OF RECEIVABLES- HOSPITAL PROVIDER

The VP of Receivables is responsible for effectively maximizing recovery on all inventories allocated to their department(s) through effective inventory management. The VP will develop and maintain all SLAs, KPIs, and Revenue goals while driving increased performance and providing excellent customer service to clients. This position will be required to effectively articulate front end revenue cycle processes to hospital / C-level leadership and prospective clients. Travel required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement concepts and strategies that increase revenue and/or reduce costs
• Develop, maintain, and enhance client workflows with focus on increased revenue
• Develop, maintain, and monitor performance metrics
• Develop, maintain, monitor, and report projections and achievements
• Develop and monitor quality control procedures
• Create, Implement, and Maintain employee coaching/mentoring program(s)
• Continuously work to improve overall productivity efficiencies
• Lead client meetings and maintain client relationships
• Oversee insurance billing and follow-up processes and procedures
• Exceed Revenue targets
• Must be able to travel 50% +

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:

• Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 5 years’ experience within a large Healthcare facility required as Director level or above
• Preferred previous experience within Healthcare Facility PFS Department and/or Revenue Cycle Department; past proven experience in the front end of the revenue cycle. This includes areas such as pre-service, pre-registration, insurance verification, front end collections, etc.
• Ability to effectively work and communicate with staff, all levels of management/ C-level, outside agencies and clients; ability to articulate and translate processes effectively
• Ability to present oneself in a professional and courteous and professional manner at all times
• Ability to stay on-task with little or no management supervision
• Demonstrate initiative and creativity in fulfilling job responsibilities
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a busy work environment
• Reliability of task completion and follow-up
• Demonstrate leadership qualities
• Preferred experience in Critical Access hospital or rural health care facility
