Regional Merchandising Specialist Job at Key Floral, Inc.
We are actively seeking a full time Regional Merchandising Specialist to service the floral departments in various customer locations throughout Southern NH & Massachusetts spanning from Nashua, Leominster, Taunton, and Waltham. The position is year round, 40+ hours per week Monday through Friday with occasional weekend work during training periods and at floral holidays.
- Seeking an enthusiastic individual with good work ethic and a genuine interest in exceeding expectations and growing into a supervisory role. We are seeking to train this individual as a Regional Merchandising Specialist in Southern NH, VT & MA for a 60 day period before transitioning the role into a Regional Supervisor position in the same territory with an additional 60 day training period. The goal of these two training periods will be to gradually develop this individual into a Regional Supervisor with a defined territory overseeing 15+ employees and 25+ service locations.
PHASE 1 > REGIONAL MERCHANDISING SPECIALIST
- Reports directly to the Service Manager
- Full-time annual exempt salary of $50,000 paid weekly for a period of 60 days.
- Includes Company fuel card, cell phone, laptop and weekly mileage reimbursement for business miles.
- For 60 days > You will be trained as a merchandising specialist to work with perishable floral product. The position is fast paced and requires lifting, bending, walking, cleaning, watering, and completing paperwork. Must be able to lift up to 40lbs.
- Must be high energy, self-motivated; and results oriented in order to work well independently.
- Attention to detail is essential.
- Excellent communication skills and time management skills are a MUST!
- Prior retail merchandising experience is a plus, but we are more than willing to train the right candidate!
- Schedule: Monday through Friday. Additional weekend work during holidays and emergencies.
- Our Merchandising specialists travel regionally to multiple customer locations to provide training, compliance checks, and refresh assistance.
- Utilizing floral training and experience, the goal of the RMS is to enhance floral displays, increase sales, streamline communications between employees, customers, supervisors, and corporate staff, negotiate space, and provide consistency in regional operations.
- Submission of daily reports
- Participation in product meetings
- Extensive regional travel on a daily basis
PHASE 2 > REGIONAL SUPERVISOR
- Reports to the Service Manager
- Full-time Salary Position / Annual Exempt salary of $55,000 paid weekly plus Quarterly Performance Incentives, Company Fuel Card, Computer and cell phone. Weekly Mileage reimbursement for business miles.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday. Additional weekend work during holidays and emergencies.
- MUST be able to supervise 15+ employees and maintain the service schedule for all employees and service locations in region.
- MUST have reliable transportation in order to travel to multiple locations throughout an assigned region.
- MUST possess excellent communication skills and leadership skills
- MUST be able to utilize a computer and easily learn new programs.
- MUST have a positive attitude and good work ethic.
- MUST be able to work extended hours during floral holidays and busy periods in order to accomplish business goals.
- MUST be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 40 lbs.
- Regional Structure – evaluate and implement necessary changes in the structure of Field Personnel
- Programs -- implement approved programs in merchandising, sales, & shrink to increase the profitability of each store.
- Service --Implement monitoring and training tools that will ensure that the 'Key Floral Service Standards' are being met at all times.
- Profile- outline stores based on demographics, store volume, retail price level, and structure for consumers etc.
- Accountability-- Ensure all Key Floral employees in your region are trained, updated, and compliant at all times.
- Hiring / Training – Conducting observations, Hiring Process, Orientation and Training Process, Performance Evaluations
- Service-- schedule and ensure all stores in your assigned region are serviced according to company standards. Coverage of stores may be necessary when all team resources are exhausted.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to travel to assigned locations in NH, MA & VT
- Clean driving record, valid drivers license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation are required
- High Energy with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to sit, stand, reach, walk, and lift up to 40lbs
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
- Must possess the ability to take direction and offer feedback
- Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
