Central Ohio Primary Care is seeking a full time Regional Manager within at our central business office in Westerville, OH. The Regional Manager is a member of the COPC Operations Team and provides operational support to COPC medical practices. The Regional Manager partners with physicians and practices around the operational, clinical, financial and customer service performance in line with organizational goals. This position collaborates with all administrative departments as needed and consults necessary teams when clinical or operational issues arise related to patient care. Responsibilities include effectively and efficiently managing the overall health care delivery system by acting as a liaison between practice sites and administration/leadership. The Regional Manager facilitates, in collaboration with the practice office manager, compliance with policies and procedures governing staff compliance with health, safety and security standards. This position assists in management duties of assigned practice sites, with the practice manager having a matrix reporting relationship to the Regional Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive practice alignment with corporate strategy and initiatives intended to improve operational success, including but not limited to quality and financial success.
  • Provide a direct resource to practice physicians and practice managers/Site Representatives to promote maximum efficiency.
  • Understand the clinical and financial impact of improvement initiatives at the physician and practice level across all business lines.
  • Drive performance improvement initiatives at the physician and practice level.
  • Collaborate with practices on performance improvement initiatives at the physician and practice level from efficiency identification through improvement delivery.
  • Monitor progress against identified tactics.
  • Plan, facilitate and/or participate in regular conference calls and meetings with administrative team and offices to provide collaboration, solutions and input to address business needs.
  • Collaborate with other Regional Managers and Director of Operations regarding complex items and to drive success of COPC.
  • Effectively collaborate with COPC clinical and project management teams in the success of identified practice improvement initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison between central business office and practice sites regarding any and all operational matters. Travel to sites to assist with issues, training, day to day administrative tasks, etc.
  • Promote compliance with COPC policies and procedures. Communicate and implement new policies and procedures to all sites.
  • Work closely with Office Managers, Physicians and Leadership on performance management of staff.
  • Provide recommendations and guidance regarding performance improvement and continued training.
  • Train and mentor Office Managers and Site Representatives.
  • Participate in screening process of new Managers/Site Representatives. Participate in annual performance review process of Managers/Site Representatives with Physicians.
  • Coordinate back-up resources for Office Managers during transition periods as needed.
  • Assist with planning and transition of new practices joining COPC.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Preferred: Ten or more years of healthcare management experience

A. Education, Licensures & Certifications

Requires BA/BS Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, MBA preferred


B. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Extensive knowledge in all aspects of practice management including:

o Medical office policies/procedures

o Administrative and clinical operations and workflow

o Revenue Cycle management

o Regulatory compliance

o EHR optimization

  • Knowledge and understanding of KPI's, reporting and analysis
  • HR management and oversight of front office, administrative and clinical staff
  • Exceptional customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience building relationships, engaging teams and guiding behavior change
  • Ability to recognize and evaluate problems, and refer to the appropriate resource
  • Ability to work on a team and display a positive attitude
  • Ability to communicate with leadership at all levels
  • Ability to work outside normal Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm workday as needed
  • Ability to learn and proficiently use Microsoft office software applications
  • Ability to multi-task, adapt quickly to a changing environment, and demonstrate independent and collaborative judgment
  • Travel between multiple locations on short term notice required
