Assist each hotel to improve its overall performance, and achieve financial and operational milestones.

Work with Property General Managers to fulfill the obligations and responsibilities of the General Manager, with or without an onsite General Manager, which includes achieving operational and financial goals while complying with all local, state, and federal laws and mandates to ensure compliance within the hotel.

Regional Duties:

  • Manage a team of General Managers including coaching, counseling, performance evaluations, etc.
  • Partner with Corporate Office to establish goals based on each hotel’s potential including but not limited to: RevPar, Average Daily Rate, CSS, and budget.
  • Conduct weekly operations meetings with properties in most need of assistance
  • Train and onboard General Managers on company procedures (including but not limited to Profit & Loss reviews, Night Audit reports, HR & accounting processes).
  • Participate in annual budget planning with Corporate Team while regularly monitoring and reviewing the budgets with the Property General Manager to ensure adherence to the budget.
  • Review daily operation reports from the corporate properties(including Night Audit, occupancy, etc.) to ensure smooth and efficient operations at the hotel level.
  • Assist Corporate Office in standardizing best practices and rolling out SOPs to the corporate properties.
  • Receive CapEx requests from Corporate owned properties and discuss approval with Corporate Office. Ensures completion of all approved Capital and Repair and Maintenance items.
  • Assist in procurement including sourcing and negotiating terms for properties.
  • Act as Liaison between General Managers, Franchisees, and Corporate Office.

Task Force Duties:

  • Provide leadership and direction for properties and perform daily management and sales duties to ensure optimum property operation in the absence of the regular Assistant General Manager/General Manager.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with labor standards and staffing guidelines by all departments.
  • Conduct audits on a quarterly basis of departmental procedures and results.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with amenity programs, franchise, and company standards, as well as promotional materials.
  • Submit annual Capital and Repair & Maintenance budgets for approval by Corporate Office while ensuring completion of all approved items.
  • Ensure compliance with all budgets and create summaries of weekly and monthly performance.
  • Conduct monthly P&L meetings with corporate office including but not limited to leading the team to achieve the set goals
  • If the General Manager(s) needs to improve their skills and abilities, this role will evaluate and assess the General Manager and Assistant General Manager’s leadership abilities and provide training and/or taking necessary disciplinary action to achieve a better result.
  • Conduct inspections of guest rooms to ensure housekeeping is meeting/exceeding cleanliness standards.

Quality Assurance Duties:

  • Conduct property inspections and site audits to identify deficiencies and provide recommendations and/or an action plan to improve the hotel(s).

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Experience in hotel management and operations (e.g., reading P&Ls, expense management, budgeting, sales, revenue management)
  • Willingness to travel to multiple sites
  • Possesses a Driver's License
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office Business Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PPT)
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
