The role you’ll contribute:
Reports directly to the Regional Vice President/Chief Financial Officer providing high-level support related to organizational financial matters to the Regional Vice President/Chief Financial Officer. Primary responsibility include direction responsibility for Regional Hospital Accounting, Finance and Revenue Cycle. This position is accountable for general accounting, payroll, capital budgeting, certified audit and tax, operational budgeting, reimbursement strategies, long range financial planning, cost accounting, revenue cycle, case mix management and financial analysis.

Develop, recommend, implement and monitor corporate financial policies and procedures and establish internal controls to safeguard the assets of the corporation. Provide orientation program for new managers.
- Responsible for preparation of the operating budget process. Develop and monitor timetables; establish guidelines and formats for development of budgets. Monitors performance against budgets and assist in the analysis of variances. Prepare reports for review by Sr. Management Team.
- Responsible for daily cash management decisions and manage other banking and investment relationships to ensure a smooth operation and realization of investment goals.
- Supervise the regional controller who leads the accountants and financial analysts at THH and provide a dotted line regional supervision of the finance directors at the other locations. Ensure that the following duties are accomplished by the accounting team: reconcile balance sheet accounts, prepare daily and month-end journal entries, provide reports and support to the hospital leadership team.
- Supervise regional HIM Director and provide dotted line oversight of other revenue cycle leaders such as the CBO, Patient Access, UM, CXC, and other functions as they develop.
- Produce consolidated month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial reports.
- Coordinate all external financial reporting and tax reporting; distribute audited financial statements and interim financial results as needed/required by external sources.
- Assist in the preparation of proformas and other financial analyses pertaining to capital equipment expenditures, new programs, joint ventures, and physician recruitment initiatives.
- Responsible for management of Net Revenue and Cost Accounting activities. Works with departments to develop cost reduction programs.
- Attends and participates in Finance Committee Meetings.
- Provides assistance and documentation for staff in completion of their assignments; ensure adherence to internal control procedures.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of three to five years of previous management experience in health care related field required.
Preferred qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant
- Masters in Business
