Responsibilities:
- Maintain established relationships with clinical adjunct faculty while sustaining a continuous cycle of recruitment of future clinical adjunct faculty.
- Create a welcoming learning environment for medical students from NYITCOM at Arkansas State University (A-State) as the liaison between NYITCOM at A-State, Clinical Adjunct Faculty and affiliated clinical teaching sights.
- Develop and maintain a professional relationship with all Clinical Adjunct Faculty, physician offices, staff and hospital staff to ensure a successful teaching and learning environment is continued at all times.
- Maintain a continuous schedule of contact and availability with physicians and affiliated sites in the assigned region.
- Schedule as needed faculty development. Obtain an advanced knowledge of the Electronic Evaluation system in order to assist in the correct usage of the system for student evaluation by the Clinical Adjunct Faculty.
- Ensure all evaluations are reported on time.
- Promote and Educate the Osteopathic principles and philosophy of medical training and patient care.
- Promote main campus and pertinent DPHI events and initiatives.
- Report directly to the Director of Clinical Education to facilitate successful 3rd and 4th year medical student rotations.
- Develop and maintain a professional relationship with NYITCOM at A-State students.
- Maintain tracking of student rotations, schedule didactic training for students, ensure all evaluations are reported on time.
- Maintain a continuous schedule of contact and availability with students in the assigned region.
- Some overnight travel expected i.e. Candidates should anticipate an initial on-boarding process with training on campus at NYITCOM at A-State in Jonesboro with additional and as needed training no less than once per year. Expect to travel to NYITCOM at A-State in Jonesboro for in-person meetings with leadership quarterly.
- Under the direction of DPHI leadership team, build relationships with community organizations and members that will lead to strategic partnerships with DPHI.
- Coordinate community engagement events, trainings, including listening sessions, workshops, and community education programs as directed by the DPHI leadership.
- Maintain communication and coordinate with DPHI community partnerships and activities. Work closely with the DPHI community sites to develop strategies to better engage program participants/local residents and to gather data, collect success stories, and illicit participant feedback on services provided. Recruit work force for specific DPHI projects or initiatives as directed.
- Work closely and coordinate with the Regional Program Director, support the Delta Care-a-Van Manager for outreach events, and support community partners as directed .Support the integration of communities and their members into aspects of DPHI’s work.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Background in communication, marketing; public relations, or comparable preferred
- Reside within the regional area of the specified clinical site coverage (Southwest Arkansas)
- Proven leader and involved within the community
- Excellent organizational, communication and public speaking skills a must.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and versed in speaking with professionals
- Ability to travel usually within the state/region
- Occasional overnight travel when evaluating sites
