We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist who is passionate about attracting, recruiting and retaining the best talent while contributing to a unique and amazing workplace. Based in our corporate office in Itasca, IL, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will report to the VP of Operations and be accountable for assisting in all aspects of recruiting and onboarding. This includes the execution of the job marketing process and talent acquisition process.

Responsibilities:

  • Executes full-cycle talent acquisition and onboarding for new employees
  • Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies to attract, recruit and retain top talent
  • Oversee and manage the job marketing process by posting vacancies on job board sources (Indeed, Facebook, ZipRecruiter, company website, etc.) recognizing effectiveness and budget
  • Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria
  • Screen resumes and applications to identify candidates who meet our qualifications and ensure a strong candidate experience throughout the process
  • Conduct phone and in-person interviews to assess candidate skills, experience and fit with our organization
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers
  • Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
  • Work with external vendors to ensure maximum value, visibility and effectiveness of job posts
  • Identifies efficiencies and improvements needed in the talent acquisition process and works with leadership to implement new tools and processes
  • Participate in employer branding initiatives and represent our organization at job fairs and other recruitment events

Requirements:

  • Have at least 3 years of talent acquisition/recruiter or human resources hiring experience
  • Have a Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience recruiting in the EMS or Healthcare industry is a plus
  • Proficient with relevant technology (e.g. Microsoft Office, ADP, Social Media, applicant tracking systems, and online job boards) and can easily adapt to changing technology and recruiting methods
  • Possess time management excellence demonstrated by ability to meet competing deadlines
  • Demonstrate superior attention to detail, high energy and a positive attitude
  • Strategic, Creative, Analytical mindset toward improving all aspects of attracting, recruiting and retaining the best talent
