Position: Recreation Programmer
Hiring Range: $45,852-$58,461

Description of Work:
Performs intermediate administrative and difficult technical work planning, coordinating and implementing recreation programs/camps, supervising the operations and staff of the year-round camps, organizing and conducting program registration, keeping various related records and reports, and related work as apparent or assigned. Continuous supervision is exercised over part time personnel. Development of marketing materials for programming advertisements.

Requirements: The position requires a college degree with major coursework in
Recreation Management, Recreation Administration or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience in a municipal or county recreation setting. Experience supervising Parks and Recreation programs and camps is required.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is necessary. Experience with recreation management software is desired. A valid North Carolina Driver’s License is required.

Lee County seeks an innovative customer service driven professional to join our team as
Recreation Programmer. This position works collaboratively with the Parks Operations
Manager at San-Lee Park to perform recreation programs and camps. This position is responsible for the recreation division’s marketing materials. Work is performed under the direction of the Recreation Superintendent. Typically work weeks are Monday through
Friday. Occasional weekends and nights are required.
