Conn-Selmer, Inc., a manufacturer of band and orchestral instruments, has an immediate need for a Receiving Clerk. This is a full-time position and will be located at our Monroe, NC Ludwig/Musser facility with working hours from 6:45 am – 3:15 pm, Monday – Friday. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITES:

• Receive product, enter receiving date, issue product to floor, or load on trucks for outside processing
• Work with supervisor and Monroe facility management to ensure production goals are met
• Comply with all Monroe policies, safety procedures, and PPE requirements
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area

Specific Duties:

• Receive product in computer to maintain proper inventory levels
• Check purchase order against received goods for correct quantity and part number
• If freight received in good order, print and apply barcode with quantity, date, location, and part number to container
• Stock received freight in correct warehouse location using forklift
• Pull orders and requisitions, verify in quantities by either scale weight or physical count
• Enter stock transfers into computer, process paperwork, and deliver to floor or department
• Load product on trucks for shipping by hand, pallet jack, or forklift as needed
• Stock and issue out material to departments as requisitioned to build product per mfg. orders
• Other tasks as assigned by supervisor or facility management

PRE-DETERMINED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to read, follow directions, and effective communication skills
• Computer skills are a must. Ability to search system for part numbers, enter transfers, and print labels
• Forklift experience is a must
• Ability to work with others in a team environment

PHYSICAL Requirements:

• Continuous walking or standing on concrete floors
• Ability to lift a maximum of 65 lbs. on occasion
• Requires frequent climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, repetitive motions, talking, hearing, and visual acuity
• Work is performed primarily indoors

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
