Receiver Job at HAYWARD LUMBER
Classification: Full Time
Pay Range: $18-20 Hourly
Location: Goleta, CA
Reports To: Store Manager
Mission:
Hayward will be the most dependable supplier of products, services and solutions to the construction market, as it has been since 1919.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate receipt of items and stocking of inventory in specified areas of the warehouse and store.
- Unload packages of inbound freight and check their contents to ensure they match the orders maintaining safe procedures and stacking methods.
- Follow safety procedures as outlined by company safety program and operator manual for forklift.
- Keep all areas cleaned and neat to facilitate efficient receiving processes.
- Keep management aware of any delays or discrepancies.
- Treat all customers, vendors, and coworkers in a helpful and professional manner, providing excellent customer service.
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse and forklift experience
- Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret orders and invoices
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
- Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment.
- Experience working in a team atmosphere.
- Ability to lift 75-100 pounds consistently
- Must take and pass drug test and consent to a background check
- Knowledge of dimension lumber, panel products, and other building materials is preferred
