Position Summary:

The Real Estate Treasury Lead will be joining a rapidly evolving Global Treasury team and responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the real estate treasury function globally. The scope of responsibilities includes leading critical strategic initiatives across the real estate treasury Platform as well as oversight and management of teams handling deal funding and closing, FX settlements, bank account management, cash forecasting & reporting, and more. As a member of the newly formed Global Treasury team, the RE Treasury Lead will play a critical role in partnering across regions to deliver best in class service to key stakeholders in Finance, Operations, deal teams, CPG, legal & compliance, as well as lead the rollout of an institutionalized Treasury operating platform across the firm’s RE businesses. These businesses include open and closed ended funds across real estate equity, real estate credit, as well as property & platform level treasury oversight. A successful candidate will work closely with CFO’s and the heads of finance across these businesses as well as the Chief Administrative Officer for the real estate platform globally.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership for RE treasury teams
  • Actively partner with key stakeholders on a number of critical strategic and “BAU support” oriented initiatives (key stakeholders include Finance, Operations, Deal Teams, Client Services, Client and Partner Group, HR, and more)
  • Contribute to Global Treasury thought leadership, strategic planning, and process development
  • Manage the implementation and execution of the Global Treasury Business plan for RE businesses globally
  • Policy and governance tool development
  • Develop KPI’s related to team and individual performance
  • Lead the development of internal and external marketing materials related to Treasury responsibilities and value-add
  • Partner with technology to deliver key foundational infrastructure projects for the RE Treasury team
  • Participate in cross-functional leadership meetings supporting new fund product development and launches
  • Build strong partnerships with all stakeholders and teammates
  • Assist with cash & liquidity management related to KKR’s Funds
  • Ad hoc project support

Qualifications, Experience, & Skills:

  • Undergraduate and/or Postgraduate level education
  • 8+ years’ Experience in Asset Management related Treasury, Operations, or similar (strategy or treasury consulting candidates will be considered as well)
  • Knowledge of Private Markets, Real Estate, Credit, Fx Settlements & hedging, fund leverage, and the investment management industry is critical
  • Knowledge of the real estate asset management industry and investment management RE platforms are considered a plus
  • Change management experience is a strong plus
  • An interest in improving processes through technology
  • Treasury management system, data warehouse/lake, and data analysis experience is considered valuable

This is the expected annual base salary range for this New York-based position. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
