Summary: Performs quality radiologic exams in a timely manner.

Core Duties:

· Prepares patients for radiology procedures.

· Performs radiology exams as ordered by Provider.

· Imports outside patient radiology exams into PACS system.

· Maintains patient safety.

· Communicates with patients and other medical facilities regarding radiology tests/films and CD’s.

· Assists with patient flow, obtaining vital signs, etc. as necessary.

· Prepares patient for examination by practitioner.

· Assures the radiology area is clean and organized.

· Observes and complies with all OAM personnel policies and procedures

· Communicate and interact effectively with patients and families, physicians, peers and other team members to maximize successful patient outcomes.

· Maintain the confidentiality of patient and staff related information.

· Follow compliance and safety requirements.

· Other duties as assigned.

· Perform Quality Control measures as needed

· Maintain film badges

· Formulating and understanding repeat analysis

· Maintain supplies within Radiology

· Communicate equipment errors and malfunctions with MMC Bio-Med or appropriate service engineers

Education and Training:

· High School Diploma

· Radiology Technologist Degree

Qualifications, Credentials and Skills:

· Required: ARRT Registered.

· Must be certified and continue to remain CPR certified.

· Excellent patient care skills.

· Strong organizational skills.

· Verbal and written skills necessary to communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers, patients, insurance companies and physician office personnel.

· Project and maintain a positive image in telephone interactions with patients, insurance companies, other health care providers and coworkers and maintain an appearance of composure under stressful situations.

· Basic computer, calculator, fax, copier skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.75 - $26.00 per hour
