A Quick Lube mechanic is responsible for performing routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, tire replacements, and system fluid exchanges. They may need to customers about their automobiles’ performance and history, inspect mechanical components, and prepare repair cost estimates. The mechanic establishes repair work timelines and discusses options with customers. They must be mechanically minded and proficient in using hand tools, and other necessary equipment. Quick Lube mechanics often have worked prior in Jiffy Lube / Quick Lube establishment, Wal-Mart Auto Centers. Recent High School or Vo-Tech Student. • Thoroughly inspect incoming vehicles by using the Multi-point Inspection process for needed, necessary repairs.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports that include necessary parts and labor.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair malfunctions authorized by the customer.
• Must be mechanically minded and be willing to learn how to use various diagnostic equipment.
• Have the ability to communicate with fellow technicians, parts department, and service advisors.
• Able to work Saturdays if necessary.
• Ability to perform test drives to verify concerns and complete repairs

• Previous experience as a Quick Lube Mechanic
• Prior experience at a Goodyear, Firestone, Pep Boys or an Independent shop etc.
• Ability to perform quick lube services, replace brakes, replace tires, perform all general maintenance, and some general technician duties.
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Pass a background check
• Have a clean driving record
