Job Description:

Responsible for performing inspections, tests, analyses and/or audits of highly complex developmental products or processes to include microelectronics, precision mechanical, software, test equipment and fully integrated systems to ensure quality standards and compliance to customer and regulatory requirements.

Essential Functions:

• Assists in development and inspection of complex rework and repair of deliverable subassemblies and large system level integrated platforms.
• Approves production records for conformance to procedures.
• Responsible for ensuring safety, reliability and hardware traceability for end-item systems and mission solutions through production quality oversight.
• Collaborates with quality engineers in developing inspection requirements and techniques and implementing quality plans.
• Assists in evaluating defect data to identify trends and collaborates with quality engineers to make recommendations on process improvements.
• Routinely interfaces with customer representatives.
• Often works autonomously and may act as a mentor to lower level peers and provide guidance on tasks.
• Makes recommendations for solutions.
• Works on assignments requiring judgment and initiative.

Qualifications:

• Requires highly developed job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
