Reports to: Quality Manager

Schedule: Monday – Saturday varying hours between 6:00 am – 4:00 pm Rotational day off. Occasionally, additional hours may be required to complete tasks and/or projects.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Perform temperature checks at mandated intervals (Product and Storage Areas)
• Thermometer calibrations
• Metal detector verification checks
• Visual inspection of products
• Portion checks on slice line
• Barcode and label verification on packaging lines
• Pre-Op Support
• Audit production rooms for non-conformance issues
• Ability to learn regulatory rules, regulations, and PBS Critical Control Points (CCP) to have a better ability to identify deficiencies when they occur on the production floor
• All other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software & willingness to learn other systems
• Knowledgeable in record keeping, reporting, organization, and continuous improvement
• Ability to identify quality related issues
• Demonstrates a high level of ethical behavior and professionalism
• Patience– Exhibits a significant amount of patience in matters regarding internal staff and external customers
• Accountability – Understands that responsibility is a pillar to this position. Finding solutions to prevent issues from reoccurring is paramount.
• Accuracy – Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
