Summary/Objective
Responsible for the operation of a section within the Quality function, supporting the Manager or Supervisor with the day-to-day management of their manufacturing area, overseeing a group of members, and ensuring an efficient operation achieving business targets. Provide leadership and line management to the team, coordinating their workloads, providing support to ensure that the team delivers, monitoring any issues, and ensuring production targets, Key Performance Indicators, and quality standards are met to meet the requirements of the customer. Develop the team by focusing on individual performance and support requirements to achieve high standards, whilst fostering a culture of working safely.

Essential Functions:

Understand the Team’s goal and objective as well as the company’s vision and Values.

Help develop and implement strategies to achieve these goals in timely manner and efficient manner

Work with other Team leaders to ensure that teams are working collaboratively toward commons goals.

Monitor team performance and give feedback to team members on a regular basis.

Assists in the development and implementation of training programs for a new member.

Identify areas where team members need improvement and help to develop action plans to address these areas.

Work to ensure people and resources are applied in an efficient and effective manner to meet Manufacturing procedures and comply with quality requirements,

Identify business improvement opportunities within the organization.

Monitor change over or shift efficiency.

Ensure full adherence to 5S (Sort, asset in order, Shine, Standardize, always Sustain) practices.

Ensure all records are completed appropriately

Report Internal Non-Conformance on daily and monthly basis.

Ensure that non-conforming material is clearly identified and segregated

Report and track scrap approval.

Ensure all gages, calipers, fixtures equipment is within calibration date.

Prepare monthly weekend schedules.

Knowledge of Q-Pulse

Knowledge of Quality Hold

Knowledge of RTV Process

Knowledge of Shipping Status

Ability to Cross trained

This position has direct supervisory responsibilities, but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday. Overtime required if needed and work on weekend if needed.

Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.

Required Education and Experience
associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; Have a least five years of experience in a leadership role. They have worked as a team leader before advancing to a senior team position
