Quality Inspector

Job summary Quality Inspector who is responsible to safely inspect product. Inspectors are a technical resource for the company in matters relating to product quality. Execute quality inspection operations, as described in the Process Routing, on time and within the length of time estimated for the operation. Actual results in the form of work center efficiencies and non-conformances will be compared to the goals to evaluate whether the goal has been achieved.

Your Challenge:

  • Assist, assign, set-up documentation for operator usage -- daily task
  • Data entry completion -- documentation auditing (Bill of Work) -- basically typing in the job number, operator initials, job start and job end
  • Auditing a percentage of parts on an ongoing basis
  • End of day final inspection
  • QMS machine inspections as per the inspection schedule
  • Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations.
  • Read blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand the requirements of products and services.
  • Measure product dimensions, examine functionality, and compare the final product to the specifications.
  • Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control.
  • Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records.
  • Teach the production team about quality control concerns to improve product excellence.
  • Supervise the production process.
  • Resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Take part in team meetings.
  • Support the assignments given to them by the Quality Inspection Team Leader.
  • Perform quality inspection operations and complete the associated documentation
  • Apply the requirements of the Quality System in performance of daily assignments.
  • Report any anomalies (non-conformances, time overruns, accidents) to the Quality Inspection team Leader.
  • Assist team members with technical support
  • Maintain the work area (cleanliness, organization, etc.)
  • Willing to work other duties as assigned such as machine operator
  • Willing to travel on short notice to assist other stations when in need. 1-3 %
  • Willing to work overtime

  • Dexterity, physical strength able to lift 80 lbs. to waist level and physical stamina
  • A good work ethic and good attendance
  • Mechanical aptitude (hand tools)
