What would your typical day look like?
· Comprehend technical specifications and convey information to production.
· Analyze engineering specifications and manufacturing processes.
· Document quality concerns and suggesting potential solutions.
· Assist product developers with detecting and resolving product defects.
· Approve finished products for distribution.
· Ability to train and mentor other quality area members.
· Assist in maintaining TS certification by making sure production follows established quality procedures.
· Apply statistical analysis of data in problem resolutions.
· Collect, evaluate, and analyze information.
· Perform capability studies.
· Make decisions based on professional standards and personal judgment.
· Problem-solving and trouble-shooting leader.
· Writing reports and keeping detailed and accurate records.
· Customer contacts and Supplier contacts.
Safety & Quality:
· Work in a safe manner and encourage others to do so.
· Report all unsafe acts and conditions immediately.
· Use our Innovation process and the team concept to improve safety in the plant.
· Be proactively involved with improving working conditions.
· Offer ideas for improvement of all systems and help implement them.
· Lead area in achieving plant quality objectives/goals.
· 0 PPM on parts.
· Understand customer needs and work towards meeting and exceeding them.
Experience & Education:
· Solid understanding of SPC and other statistical tools.
· 3 years of Quality experience.
· Participation in a significant role on the MOS, either deploying a practice, training in a tool or methodology, leading problem solving or other applied leadership experience.
· Associates Degree in a quality related field.
· Material or Metallurgical degree for the Metallurgical (Team Coordinator).
Technical Skills:
· Proficient computer skills/Microsoft suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point).
· Advanced Excel Skills (charting, data sorting, formulas, etc.)
· Basic drafting and lay out skills.
· Proficient in the use of inspection tools (height gauge, micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.).
· Proficient in Measurement System Analysis.
· Blueprint reading and GD & T skills.
· Ability to understand CMM reported data.
· Quality Systems Management.
· Human Development Management.
Cross functional leadership:
· Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability Management Fundamentals.
