Position Summary:
As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible to manage and review all quality reports submitted to the Service Quality Department ensuring their timely delivery & completeness.
Responsibilities:

• Leads the resolution of quality and design problems through disciplined problem-solving methods.
• Leads the resolution of quality and design problems dealing with the necessary departments/organizational levels internally and with Clients and/or suppliers.
• Employs statistical analysis and design of the experiment to analyze methods of inspection, testing, and product quality; evaluates records and prepare reports for management indicating results, conclusions, and recommendations.
• Organizes, performs, and coordinates audits of management systems and operational procedures throughout the Nordex O&M sites and reports results, and recommends opportunities for improvement.
• Serves as the local management representative for quality to ensure compliance with ISO 9000:2000 and ISO 14000, as applicable.
• Supports safety to provide an adequate and safe working environment.
• Visits project sites, suppliers, and international support groups to facilitate the successful completion of job duties: travel requirements about 25 - 50%.
• Generates and present periodic reports to the senior management team and customer such as Cost collection and periodical reporting.
• Participates in Cost of Energy, COE, improvement effort reducing the cost of turbine operations considering 20 years of operation as a life cycle.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Electrical engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
• 4 years of work experience
• Demonstrated ability to read mechanical and electrical blueprints.
• Trained as ISO auditor preferred.
• Strong computer skills including advanced proficiency in MS Office applications (i.e.: Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other statistical analysis programs.
• Familiarity with technical standards and their application (ASTM, AWS, IEC, ISO standards).
• Must possess knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality assurance principles.
• Ability to successfully interact with all organizational levels internally and with Clients and/or suppliers.
