Responsibilities
- Responsible for meeting customer quality requirements and interaction with customers/suppliers during APQP meetings.
- Manage and implement corrective actions (8-D) for external and internal quality and delivery problems as part of a cross functional team. This will involve working with manufacturing personnel to effectively implement corrective/preventative actions and to verify effectiveness of those actions.
- Coordinate FIREWALL/Re-inspect activities for all new launch and serial projects.
- Prepare PPAP submissions to customers, upload into the company portal and retain PPAP samples.
- Complete dimensional layouts using lab equipment; CMM, OC, Tinus, Calipers, Micrometers, etc.
- Design, implement and maintain various programs to continually improve quality processes within the facility.
- Responsible for final part quality including the obligation to shut down processes producing discrepant material.
- Responsible for supplier quality assurance; including participation in the supplier qualification process, overseeing incoming material inspections, specifying non-conforming product sort criteria, and initiating/coordination of internal/external sorts.
Qualifications
- Associate degree with appropriate experience may also be considered.
- Basic S.P.C., measurement systems (CMM skills), Metrology Concepts (GD&T in particular), blueprint reading, and gage calibration.
- Extensive computer and keyboarding experience.
- Problem solving skills with the ability to follow written and verbal direction required.
- On-Site: Must be within a commutable distance, or willing to relocate to the Morganfield, KY area.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical Field is preferred.
