Quality Assurance Technician

Position Overview

We are looking for great people to join our team! We are a fast-growing Food Company that will provide career path growth for those that work hard. The main tasks will be related to ensuring that our products are delivered to our customers with Food Safety and Quality expectations exceeded.

Essential Job Functions

• Responsible for daily QA paperwork completion in relationship to HACCP & SQF.
• Ensure that all employees and visitors are compliant with our written GMP program.
• Ensure that our products are made and assembled per our written specifications.
• Ensure compliance with government food safety regulations and maintain highest possible industry standards.
• Effectively interact with USDA officials and food safety auditors to maintain positive and responsive relationships.
• Maintain corrective/preventative action plan.
• Maintain Food Security Programs and Environment Microbiological monitoring programs (allergen program, and sanitation).
• Document Control Review and Verification program.
• Sign and review HACCP documents.
• Responsible for End of Shelf-Life Program.
• Purchase supplies for QA department.

Requirements

• Experience in a quality position with a Food Processing Company.
• Team player, willing to learn and grow career.
• Knowledge and experience in document control.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to effectively work with managerial and employee levels.
• HACCP knowledge.
• SQF knowledge desired.
• USDA experience desired.
• Computer skills, including Office, Excel and Word desired.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, weekends when business dictates.
• Must be able to work in a cold environment (40-50 degrees) for prolonged periods of time with or without reasonable accommodations.
