Job Summary
Provide Quality and Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) support to Irby Utilities’ Technology and Communications team. Serve as trouble-shooter and liaison between Irby Logistics, Engineering, and Customer- Facing functions to maintain policies, processes, and accurate record-keeping.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide customer service via phone, email, and/or internal ticketing platform to provide warranty/RMA support and change management processing for internal and external teams.
- Validate warranty status and process warranty claims with external vendors or internal teams, on behalf of our customers.
- Track warranty items throughout warranty process to ensure items are repaired/returned in a timely/accurate matter and that customer expectations are met.
- Monitor warranty periods on behalf of our customers to ensure that warranty renewals are completed before expiration or that potential lapse is made know before expiry.
- Validate that warranty or support purchased on behalf of a customer is appropriately billed to the customer and the purchased warranty levels, meet, or exceed the customer’s needs.
- Work within inventory system (Solar) to generate sales orders for network teams or identify low stock/high lead times on network hardware.
- Accept network change management requests and documentation from the network team(s) to complete network maintenance.
- Verify that all required documentation is present and appropriate policies/procedures are adhered to.
- Liaison with customer and network teams to schedule execution of network maintenance.
- Work with network team to finalize network maintenance and record any undocumented changes made as part of the maintenance.
- Generate monthly reports on change management and warranty processes within the organization.
- Generate monthly reports on high turnover/long lead items for network hardware.
Minimum Qualifications
- Understanding of or familiarity with network hardware within a carrier grade network, to include but not limited to, optics, routers, switches, servers.
- Must possess strong quantitative and analytical skills.
- Strong relationship building skills and a highly professional.
- Must be able to interact with all levels of management.
- Must be an excellent team player who possesses solid interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Excellent communicator in both oral and written settings.
- Highly organized and able to develop new process while adhering to and refining existing processes.
