The Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act requires employers in the state of Colorado to disclose the following information. Hourly (salary) minimum $22.28, hourly (salary) maximum $27.55. The base hourly (salary) range above represents the low and high end of the range for this position. Actual hourly (salary) rates may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to: experience, education, and training.
Pay is just one component to prospective employees’ compensation package. Compensation may also include shift differentials. JOB PURPOSE: To improve the health and wellbeing of our communities.
BASIC FUNCTION: Provides support in the development, analysis, interpretation, and management of a variety of complex data sources to support clinical process improvement and system impact savings. Responsible for providing knowledge of health care, technical skills, and analytical expertise to aid other Grand River Hospital District (GRHD) personnel in improving processes and outcomes. Position primarily serves at Grand River Health Clinic West while also working on-site at all GRHD Clinic locations as responsibilities require and as directed.
Works with project teams to develop and improve clinical and non-clinical program measurement systems. This includes clinical and satisfaction data and other measurements as needed. Demonstrates and applies a working knowledge of quality improvement principles, theory, study, design and statistical modeling to evaluate clinical programs and processes. Identifies and relays opportunities for improving the delivery of health care services.
Works collaboratively with clinical program analytical and data management teams to develop reports necessary to manage/measure care processes, models and clinical guidelines. Applies understanding of database content to support development of clinical program measurement systems; provides staff support to leadership as appropriate.
Contributes to clinical programs and patient care teams to develop clinical practice summary reports tracking clinical outcome costs and utilization. Works with external and regulatory business partners to develop clinical practice summary reports tracking external and regulatory cost and utilization of clinical programs. Works collaboratively with Information Technology and Systems Department in carrying out duties and participates in training programs as assigned. Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree in a healthcare related field, Medical Assistant certification, or professional background in statistical analysis preferred.
Experience: Three years of professional experience in a similar role in the healthcare field preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of equipment and computer programs common to the healthcare and clinic settings preferred, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to learn computer based applications. Understanding of and ability to use Statistical Process Control methods and programs.
Working knowledge of equipment common to an office environment including multi-line phone system, fax, copier, etc. Knowledge and proper use of grammar, spelling, punctuation, proofing, document formatting and basic math skills. Familiarity with clinic practice management systems and electronic health records preferred; preferably Meditech Expanse. Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in written communication. Interpersonal skills and the ability to work successfully as a member of a team required. Must be able to demonstrate accuracy in processing detailed information. Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, patients, outside vendors and community members. Skilled in analyzing data and preparing reports including both statistical and narrative. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of information. Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions. Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing. Must be proficient within six (6) months of hire in QHN, CIIS, Meditech, HealthStream, Kronos, NCQA, Garage (ACO), QPass and other related reporting software.
GENERAL COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS: Has knowledge of and adheres to all compliance regulations, policies and procedures. Completes annual compliance, privacy, and security training. Responsible for complying with all federal, state and local rules and regulations. Complies with the all Grand River Hospital District policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct and the Compliance and Ethics Program requirements. Reports any observation of fraud, waste, abuse, and/or privacy violations. Reports any conflict of interest or relationship immediately.
HEALTH INFORMATION PORTABILITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY ACT (HIPAA): Ensures and adheres to strict confidentiality when handling patient information, according to the HIPAA Privacy Act and hospital policy and procedure regarding confidentiality. Complies with all hospital information security practices.

WORKING CONDITIONS: The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock and risk of radiation. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee may be subject to daily exposure and risk of blood borne pathogens, bacteria, toxic substances, body fluids, communicable diseases, equipment noise and occasionally the combative patient. Other conditions may exist which are common to a clinical health care setting.
