Job Summary
As a Purchasing & Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for purchasing material from our ZETTLER owned and 3rd party factories in Asia, overseeing all in-transit shipments while working directly with carriers to move our customer’s freight in the most economic and efficient way possible. We are looking for someone who is aggressive, an energetic problem solver who thrives in our fast-paced work environment. The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic, attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and a commitment to Operational Excellence. This position will be required to keep precise records of all commodities going in and out of company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Track and trace shipment progress
- Manage daily freight schedules
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing carriers including negotiating best rates
- Interface with transportation provider to maintain low cost service overall
- Manage and trade custom imports to include ISF filings
- Participate in meetings with supply chain on issues impacting facilities within responsibility
- Assist in the development and maintenance of purchasing/logistics procedures and controls.
- Coordinating and managing all activities during the purchasing process, monitoring transportation.
- Purchase and maintain purchasing records of materials
- Maintain all import and export documents / data and verify for information accuracy.
- Purchasing and Procurement of materials from ZETTLER owned factories and 3rd party suppliers
- Perform other duties as required

- Familiar with waybills and shipping procedures with transport companies
- Familiar with using a computerized inventory system
- At least 5 years purchasing or materials management experience
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to discuss technical problems with associates, suppliers and customers
- Exceed customer quality and service expectations through attention to detail
- Proactive communication with customer service team and sales reps
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversee Purchasing & Logistics Clerk
