Job Overview:

The Purchasing Associate will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries, approve purchase orders, assist in resolving any supply issues or discrepancies, and transferring product between locations to fulfill purchase agreement.

Reports to:

VP of Procurement

Responsibilities include:

  • Diligently review and approve purchase orders to ensure it meets the budget
  • Analyze store sales trends to accurately order product quantities
  • Work closely with operations and vendors to understand details of quarterly programs for accurate procurement requirements
  • Run reports and push products out to stores to ensure purchase agreements are fulfilled
  • Create purchase orders and transfers as needed
  • Correct Transfer Orders with issues and ensure policy is followed
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent at problem-solving
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work well while meeting deadlines
  • Basic understanding of inventory control procedures
  • Ability to develop professional relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Able to use Microsoft applications, proficient excel skills required
  • Organized and detail-oriented
