Job Description
This position reports to the Head of Special Collections Public Services, and will report to the Public Services Archivist when that position is filled. The expected rate of pay is $18 for this role.
The work includes, but is not limited to:
  • Welcoming in-person researchers to Special Collections and providing them with orientation for the use of the spaces.
  • Paging and reshelving rare books and archival materials for researcher use in the reading room, for classroom instruction support, and for special events.
  • Helping to assess the physical spaces through user experience activities.
Skills required:
Training will be provided for most activities and tasks. However, applicants who have an interest in special collections and academic libraries are especially welcome.
Experience working with undergraduate students as well as demonstrated ability to work effectively with a widely diverse community are preferred.
