QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
Required:
- High School graduate or high school certificate of equivalency (GED)
- Minimum of 2.5 GPA
- Registered and takes at least 6 hours
- Excellent customer service
Preferred:
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 products
- Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds

SUMMARY OF FUNCTION:
The Front Desk Attendants are responsible for providing excellent customer service to residents and visitors to the Residence Halls. Included are greetings, receiving IDs from visitors, checking those visitors into a database to maintain an accurate account of who is in the buildings, and answering questions. In addition, provide clerical assistance, and maintain compliance with FERPA regulations, and all AWC policies and procedures.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
Serve Students. Greet and communicate with students to answer questions, disseminate or explain information specifically about Residential Life services, and address complaints to appropriate staff.
Assure all guests and visitors properly check in when entering the residence halls.
Perform related clerical duties as assigned utilizing office equipment such as computers and multi-line phones, while being alert to student traffic.
Understand all College and Residential Life policies and be responsible for the enforcement of them. Report all potential emergencies including maintenance issues and students of concern according to proper protocols.
Ensure accurate record keeping of desk activities/issues through Microsoft Office 365 products.
Participate in training and staff meetings as scheduled.
Assist in the set-up of programming and activities in and around the residence halls.
Support and participate in strategic planning initiatives and performs other duties as assigned.
