Good news: We pay you $110 - $130 per session which is twice as much as the average group practice in California.

The Gay Therapy Center is perfect for licensed clinicians who want a steady stream of LGBTQ individual and couples clients that they can see in their own offices, in our offices, or online.

We're different in that you can also have your own private practice as you work with the Gay Therapy Center. We are very supportive of therapists in private practice.

We only work with clinicians who have a special knack and experience in connecting to LGBTQ individuals AND couples. (Couples work is required.)

You'll need to be a licensed CA social worker, psychotherapist, counselor, or psychologist. (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, PHD, LPCC). If you live in the SF Bay Area we can also work with pre-licensed associates.

We do the client intakes and match you to the clients that are best suited for you. We require that you work with a minimum of 6 clients at a time.

There is no cost to join. Our costs are covered by a portion of the client fee.

We are out-of-network therapists. So if you are on lots of insurance panels this won’t be a good match for you. If you are just on one or two more obscure panels we can work with that.

We are flexible, friendly, warm, and offer a lovely, emotionally safe, optional consultation group held on Zoom. If you are committed to working with LGBTQ individuals and couples we are an amazing resource for you. We only work with therapists who are licensed in CA or NY.
