INVISTA is hiring a Process Safety Management (PSM) Coordinator at its Victoria, Texas facility. This role is an exciting growth opportunity for a high-energy individual looking to make a difference and lead improvements. The PSM Coordinator is expected to help promote a culture of organizational and individual ownership and innovation in all areas of PSM.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Lead the Victoria Site Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) program, both Covered Process and Non-Covered Process
  • Ensure there is an optimized method that the PHAs are facilitated, reported, and filed
  • Responsible for securing required resources to execute the PHAs by collaborating with area leadership
  • Schedule and manage all process covered PHAs so that both INVISTA and OSHA timing requirements are met
  • Collaborate with other INVISTA sites to share best practices and help meet process safety goals
  • Partner with combined PSM organization to build a Metric Database that will aid in prioritizing improvement work and promote a transparent look into site process safety management
  • Oversee the development of new tools and software to transform PSM into sustainable and competitive systems
  • Help meet compliance goals by preparing for and participating in PSM audits
  • Assist in developing and in delivering PSM training
  • Assist in answering PSM questions for site procedures
  • Help various departments throughout the facility learn how to apply process safety principles in their daily work

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • Experience in facilitating Process Hazard Analysis (PHA)
  • One of the following:
    • Bachelor of Science in an engineering field with 5 years of experience in a manufacturing facility
    • 5+ years of experience with a safety service / process safety company
    • 10+ years operation experience in a manufacturing facility

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience facilitating or participating in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA)
  • Experience and formal training in Hazard analysis systems such as Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOP), PHA, or Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA) Risk Assessment or other similar systems
  • Experience with and knowledge of relevant process safety regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910.119 (Process Safety Management) and 40 CFR 68 (Chemical Accident Prevention Provisions)
  • Leadership experience within a chemical plant in operations, technical, or mechanical integrity role
  • Certified PHA Facilitator
  • Proficient in the use of PHA software such as LEADER® software with the ability to self-scribe during PHA studies
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP)

This role is subject to the Transportation Workers Identification Credentialing (TWIC) rule and requires the successful candidate to obtain a TWIC dentification badge, allowing for unescorted access to the facility within a specific time period.
