Idaho National Laboratory’s (INL) Protective Force Program Support group is seeking forward-thinking professionals interested in exploring a career as a Protective Force Program Support Manager! Our team works an on-site 4x10 schedule located at our Central Facilities Area with every Friday off!
Responsibilities Include:
- Responsible to manage multiple direct reports and projects daily to ensure the protection of National Assets of the United State Government.
- Assist Protective Force (PF) Management with all topical areas related to budgets and administrative requirements for maintaining an armed force at a DOE site.
- Responsible for Logistics and Performance Assurance as well as Radio/Vehicle Pool operations activities on daily basis ensuring security requirements and resources are being used in protection strategies.
- Responsible for developing subordinate staff (e.g., succession planning, work scope direction, figuring out staffing needs, performance reviews, etc.).
- Administers and implements policies, processes, and procedures that affect subordinate employees and the workflow of the work units.
- Leads all aspects of projects for process improvements, efficiencies, and cost savings.
- Leads and collaborates with the teams to review/update processes and procedures with SMEs/direct reports, communicate programmatic needs and updates to PF management, lead analysis efforts to identify accuracy and efficiencies, make recommendations, implement solutions and conduct audits to measure improvements.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years direct experience in directing Protective Force operations OR 13 years of equivalent experience to include 8 years law enforcement or military experience and 5 years direct experience in directing Protective Force operations.
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
- Strong communication and people skills.
- Working knowledge of DOE and NRC orders and requirements.
- Working knowledge of the Conduct of Operations.
- Working knowledge of the Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS).
- Working knowledge of the Conduct of Maintenance.
Preferred Requirements:
- Protective Force supervision experience.
Job Information
- Salary Grade MR0200: 220 ($107,520 - $177,336)
- Chosen applicants are required to show a demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment.
- TDP: This is a testing designated position; you will be required to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and periodic drug testing throughout the term of your employment.
