EWSG is looking to fill a Proposal Manager Position in Longwood, FL. The Proposal Manager will lead the Proposal and Project Estimating functions. The Proposal Manager is integral in helping prepare proposals and presentations, organizing/updating database of project information, coordinating meetings, and writing proposal material from scratch.
As the Proposal Manager, you will:
  • Coordinate the proposal process, following standard procedures, including planning, review, and production of statements of qualifications and proposals.
  • Gather and research information to include in proposals, including resumes, project summaries, project references, service cost estimates, and other information requested within a solicitation.
  • Review, organize, and edit written documentation to improve clarity.
  • Provide final quality control check, including proofreading for grammar, request for proposal (RFP) compliance and conformance to established strategies and plans.
  • Verify complex technical solutions, strategies and themes are easily understandable, readable and compelling.
  • Update leads, resumes, project descriptions, various company project references, and text libraries in company’s database.
  • Collaborate with Operations Managers and Senior Management in the proposal preparation process.
  • Assist in the development of other marketing tools such as brochures, company website, etc.
  • Conduct client development research. Leads or co-leads client development teams
  • Participates in strategic planning that includes evaluating marketing intelligence, identifying customer concerns, and key issues, and developing win strategies.
  • Attends industry functions, to generate new leads.
  • Assist in the day to day hard and electronic file organization.
  • Assist in updating and maintaining the central repository for existing contracts.
  • Annually evaluating legacy contract for upcoming renewals, rebids, or potential increases to project level pricing.

To be successful in the role you must possess:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field (business, marketing, engineering, etc.) preferred, other degrees such as Communication, Journalism, and English are acceptable.
  • Ideal candidates should possess 5+ years of experience proposal development or estimator role in the Architecture / Engineering / Construction (A / E / C), Public Utilities, or Public Works industries.
  • Experience with marketing professional services and familiarity with industry terms, contracts, deliverables, and processes is required.
  • A Strong Knowledge of RFP/RFI/ITB and proposal process is required for both the private and municipal markets.
  • Established contacts within and knowledge of water resources, wastewater conveyance, stormwater conveyance, and other industries.
  • Advanced user in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles within the A / E / C Industry.
  • Strong experience with municipal procurement is preferred.
  • Strong experience in water, wastewater and stormwater conveyance systems preferred.
