CUMULUS MEDIA | Nashville is in search of a dynamic, hard working Part-Time Promotions and Digital Media Assistant. Who We Are:

CUMULUS | Nashville currently features 5 stations in the Nashville area and surrounding counties. Our stations include: WQQK (92Q), WSM (95.5 Nash Icon), WWTN (SuperTalk 99.7), WKDF (103-3 Country), and WGFX (104-5 The Zone/Titans Radio).

The Digital Media Assistant will directly assist the Promotions Director for Cumulus Nashville’s news and sports talk radio stations SuperTalk 99.7 WTN and 104-5 The Zone/Titans Radio. The Digital Media Assistant will represent these Cumulus stations by producing digital content online, at specified events, and act as Brand Ambassadors. This also may include event set-up and breakdown of pop-up tents and tables, hanging banners, interacting with listeners and registering people to win prizes.

In the office, the Promotions Digital Media Assistant handles station digital platforms, social media, news reporting, and other oriented tasks. The position also includes running errands and helping with media appearances.

Our Opportunity:

Digital Media Assistant duties include and are not limited to the following:

• Develop and execute digital campaigns on all social networks.
• Execute programs that increase positive interaction and build audience on various platforms.
• Manage presence, strategy, and tactical execution for social networking sites.
• Provide direction as needed for improving campaign performance through optimization and/or implementing new features and strategies.
• Provide support for Cumulus Nashville’s promotional and digital initiatives: promoting social media platforms and websites, station contesting, station-client sponsored events, and station community and media events.
• Provide digital advertising support and execute ads based on client objectives.
• Stay abreast of social platform updates, social trends, and best-in-class social media campaigns
• Individual will be called upon to cover stories both on and off camera for both WGFX and WWTN.
• Individual will assist the Promotions Director and perform various news and media duties as needed, including events with the potential of working odd hours as news stories break.
• Familiarity with digital audio editing software required. Experience with long-form, breaking, non-scripted, long-form news coverage is vital.

Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate would have 1-2 years of experience working within the digital space.
• Comfortable with reporting news and working in the media both on and off camera.
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and tools.
• Comprehensive knowledge of best practices for managing and optimizing social media channels.
• Strong quantitative skills, including analytical abilities and math proficiency.
• Able to write concisely and present ideas confidently.
• An insatiable curiosity for all things social, digital, and mobile.
• Comfortable juggling multiple tasks: ability to prioritize responsibilities; excellent time management.
• Proven ability to work well within a team environment while accomplishing individual projects.
• Extensive knowledge of news and sports.
• Flexible schedule.
• Working knowledge of audio analytics.
• Graphic design is a plus.
