seeks a talented and highly motivated project owner to join the team at Count Me In (
joincountmein.org
), a research initiative out of the Broad Institute. Count Me In is a passionate team of people dedicated to driving cancer research forward. Count Me In enables cancer patients across the US and Canada to partner directly with researchers and share their medical records, tumor samples, and voices to advance the understanding of cancer. The ultimate goal of Count Me In is to generate freely available datasets of patient-reported, genomic, molecular, and clinical data to advance the understanding of these diseases and lead to the development of new therapies.
The candidate must have strong project management skills to execute the overarching mission and implementation of the CMI’s project cohorts, as well as enthusiasm and flexibility to enhance engagement with project stakeholders. To succeed, the individual in this role will interact with a combination of people, organizations, processes, and technology to enhance the initiative's goals.

You will:
  • Serve as the resident expert on all project cohort activities and translate goals into action
  • Manage project operations across a multidisciplinary team, including tracking all project goals, identifying needs, and facilitating the execution of solutions
  • Partner with clinical research coordinators for acquisition, processing, and tracking of medical records and samples
  • Communicate Effectively: enhance cross-team communication; provide clear, timely, and helpful feedback to team members; collaborate with the scientific team and leadership to keep project operations aligned with scientific and leadership goals
  • Facilitate team meetings, brainstorming, and decision-making around any and all aspects of the project
  • Keep information about team progress visible and up to date
  • Synthesize project data to investigate specific cohorts of interest
  • Oversee patient communications for the project, including responding to patient calls and emails, liaising with patient and caregiver Project Advisory Councils, and writing regular updates to the broader community
  • Maintain updated written standard operating procedures, including regular meeting notes and project documentation
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors' degree
  • 1-2 years experience working in a project management in clinical research, academic research, or a similar environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree
  • Experience in cancer genomics or cancer biology
  • Experience interacting with clinical and/or scientific datasets
