Job Description
This position may pay more than the minimum proposed salary listed above, depending on experience and/or qualifications of the selected candidate.
This position will provide project leadership, logistical support and coordinator of projects related to the the Texas Child and Family Study Project for the Texas Juvenile Crime Prevention Center (TXJCPC). The position will be located at a satellite office in Dallas, TX.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day operations at the site location, formally supervise and train new staff or students on project work; organize teams and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the project; and completes and maintains requisite CITI training.
  • Participate in outreach events to communicate research and network with study participants as needed; develops and maintains effective working relationships with community stakeholders and local partners, representing the project and coordinating local community recruitment efforts; and facilitate the planning of various meetings/activities/trainings including community events and project meetings.
  • Provide input on public opinion surveys and focus groups; collect primary data for the social study; utilize all study design elements to organize, track and manage data; conduct field studies ;assist with development, communication and design of research findings to internal and external audiences, which may include web updates, social media, and/or white papers for use in recruitment, educational or awareness of programs with guidance from the Research Scientist and TX JCPC Administrators; and track all participation utilizing established research organizational tools.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Three years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in an applicable Social / Behavioral Science related field.
  • Four or more years of applicable experience.
  • General understanding of scientific theory and methods, typically gained through completion of a Graduate degree in related field.
  • General computer skills and ability to quickly learn and master computer programs.
  • Ability to work under deadlines with general guidance.
  • Excellent organizational skills demonstrated ability to complete detailed work accurately.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with human study participants.
  • Knowledge of research and evaluation methodology in a community setting with an emphasis on youth and families as well as youth and community resilience.
  • Ability to manage multiple on-going projects with an appropriate degree of attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of program development and management.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse levels of individuals, such as administration, faculty, staff, schools, youth, community leaders and partners.
