Purpose and Scope:

The Project Manager I (PM I) will focus on the support and execution of initiatives managed within the Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO). Keys to success in the immediate term will be to bring focus and leadership throughout the project life cycle of small to medium scale initiatives. Will work to develop sound project plans, expedite execution, coordinate key resources, facilitate and manage project logistics, and provide transparency of project information to stakeholders.

The nature of the PM I role is to lead initiatives, while continuing to hone and master the PM methodology and skill set through supporting subsets of larger initiatives. Will collaborate with all areas of the business to ensure timely and accurate execution of projects while managing risks, changing priorities, project scope, and communications with the guidance of EPMO senior members.
This position will report directly to the EPMO. Indirectly manages changing and remote project teams for purposes of project execution. Has specific oversight of the project team’s deliverables; projects range from software-development, infrastructure, integrations, business systems, transformation, continuous improvement, contract compliance, and security initiatives.

Essential Responsibilities:
1. Independently lead small to medium scale initiatives related to core objectives through Initiation, Planning, Execution, Control and Closure. Drive efforts to accomplish project objectives including project tasks, process documentation, testing, training, and deployments. Drive behaviors toward the attainment of successful project completion, interacting with the project team to ensure efforts are aligned to a common objective.
2. Provide leadership and facilitate task execution for mission critical project management efforts among and across all divisional lines. Direct projects that meet corporate and business unit strategies on time and within budget.
3. Establish project plans to include Microsoft Project schedules, training plans, testing plans, deployment plans, etc. and prioritize tasks while managing dependencies, communicating progress and issues to upper management/key stakeholders.
4. Accountable for all documentation related to project implementations; ensures requirements and plans meet appropriate level of detail and are written in a manner to secure understanding from respective stakeholders.
5. Act as liaison between IT, Finance, HR, GSCM, Legal, BD, and other business audiences; interface with business leadership during project lifecycle. Coordinate with all functional and business unit management on integration of new initiatives and current projects. Ensure key requirements have been gathered and scoped appropriately.
6. Provide and facilitate excellent/robust communication; run effective meetings with clear objectives. Provide presentations to small-to-medium size audiences and demonstrate effective business writing skills. Expedite initiatives amidst ever-changing business requirements and organization priorities.
7. Seeks input from supervisor and mentors and appropriately and accurately applies comments/feedback.
8. Maintains relationships with all members of the EPMO staff and functional organization; is cognizant of project impacts on any aspect of other initiatives and vice versa. Contributes to the EPMO in the continual improvement of policies, tools, and strategies.
9. Enforces broad-based governance of change management while balancing project continuity. Assesses and tracks all change requests to evaluate project impacts; seeks/obtains buy-in from appropriate decision makers.
10. Proactively identifies and manages project risks; evaluates and works to identify mitigation strategies and escalates issues to senior staff as appropriate. Optimally manage resources to ensure best-in-class quality and delivery of initiatives.
11. Performs other related duties as required.
