Project Manager/Estimator Job at Nitro Cutting
Summary
The Project Manager/ Estimator has responsibility for managing awarded projects/orders from start to finish. This position is responsible for ensuring projects/orders are delivered on-time and within budget while meeting or exceeding customer expectations. Supports the achievement of established sales and financial objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Maintains relationships with existing customers, develops relationships with new customers and supports prospects for new business.
2. Works collaboratively with Estimating, Programming, Purchasing and Operations to ensure lead time, quality and profitability targets for each awarded project/order are achieved.
3. Supports all Quality Management System requirements along with specific customer requirements.
4. Ensures all proper job activation requirements are met.
5. Participates in daily Nitro Production Meetings and weekly Capacity Planning Sessions.
6. Oversees project to ensure quality of work and adherence to budget, timeline, and specifications.
7. Manages any required subcontractors to ensure Quality, Lead Time and Profitability levels are met. This includes verification of all subcontractor invoices.
8. Oversees contract billings, approves subcontractor and supplier invoices to assure proper and correct cost coding.
9. Reviews job cost reports to monitor progress compared to the estimate. Prepares profit projections as the job progresses.
10. Performs all other duties as requested.
11. Follows all company policies, procedures, and safety rules. Conducts self always in a professional, ethical, and courteous manner as a representative of Company.

Education and/or Experience
· Three to five years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Professional Skills
· Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions, blueprints, correspondence, and memos.
· Demonstrated estimating skills required.
· Ability to meet strict deadline.
· High level of organizational and time management skills.
· Demonstrable communication skills.
· Team player focusing on collaboration and goal achievement.
· Ability to easily articulate job performance.
· Participation in Continual Improvement events, Corrective Action requests and other Team activities.
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, piece pricing and profit margins.
- Ability to understand results, develop reports and analysis as needed regarding job performance.
- Ability to support Estimating function in job analysis for pricing as needed.
Computer Skills To perform this job successfully an individual should have knowledge of the following software such as:
· Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
· Experience in Part Nesting, Machine Programming, CAD and ERP systems is preferred but not required.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
· Current driver's license required to travel to various customer locations and job sites or be able to provide own transportation.
Classification:
· Travel is typically during work hours as needed (estimated <10% of working hours).

Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
