We are a fast-paced, growing, food manufacturing company looking for a Project Manager. We are searching for a candidate who is highly motivated, organized, and hardworking to help us develop our maintenance department from its current level into a well oiled operation. Our ideal Project Manager will have the skill set to supervise and manage maintenance operations and safety programs, while also possessing the written and organizational skills to create departmental programs and systems. Finally, the Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing various building improvement and maintenance projects in our rapidly growing organization. No two days will be alike and you will have an opportunity to have a real impact on our business and to leave your mark on our Maintenance Department as it continues to expand.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Developing our existing maintenance programs such as our spare parts inventory system
• Ensuring that proper systems are in place to carry out preventative maintenance on our machinery
• Keeping our building systems (air condition, heating, plumbing, etc.) operational
• Coordinating with outside trades and contractors as needed for projects
• Directing maintenance personnel in their day-to-day execution of responsibilities
• Hiring additional maintenance personnel as needed
• Managing cross departmental projects related to building expansion, improvement, or equipment upgrades
• Training maintenance personnel and cross trained employees as needed
• Overseeing our OSHA compliance program

Qualifications:

While a maintenance background is helpful, it is not required. The critical qualifications are work ethic, project management skills, organizational skills, and written/verbal communication. Other qualifications include:

• High school diploma required, at least 2 years college or technical school preferred
• 3-5 years of maintenance or other relevant work experience
• Experience managing teams of people
• Critical thinking skills
• Attention to detail and organization
• Engineering or project management background is a plus
