We are currently hiring a Project Manager to join our Corporate PMO Team. This position is a Hybrid position based out of Herndon, VA ( selected candidate should be local to the region). Please review the requirements below and if you would like to be considered, we encourage you to apply!

Requirements:

The Project Manager will be responsible for creating and maintaining a collaborative work environment with employees in their assigned projects as well as setting goals for assigned team members. The PM will give clear direction to their assigned project teams and provide decisive and constructive feedback as well as empower individuals to take ownership of their assignments. The PM will identify and capture funded project growth in addition to facilitating capture of new opportunities within assigned customers and projects. This position will manage multiple project efforts from customer requirements definition through hiring and project completion. The PM will manage large contract staffing projects dispersed throughout the United States.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identifies resources required for the project and oversees employee selection, hiring, and development while working with RavenTek recruiting team.
  • Responsible for working with the recruiting team to ensure that open positions are filled in a timely manner
  • Provide leadership of a staff ranging between 25 to 60 people and be the primary POC for the federal government stakeholders/clients at various levels.
  • Manages and is responsible for the successful completion of all tasks/deliverables in assigned project areas
  • Supervises assigned non-technical and technical staff and may perform personnel actions including hiring, termination, and performance feedback
  • Oversee the contractor staff team dispersed geographically providing support for assigned customer projects and ensure performance standards are established and met in a timely manner
  • Meet regularly with onsite and remote employees as well as customer leadership representatives for programmatic and project reviews
  • Responsible for customer and stakeholder engagement to ensure performance standards are meeting customer expectations
  • Provide clear communication of the vision, goals, priorities, and project action items to all stakeholders and employees in assigned project areas
  • Interact with senior management concerning matters of significance to the company. Act as primary contact for project issues
  • Ensures compliance with relevant corporate and government policies and standards
  • Proactively and regularly make recommendations for process and system improvements
  • Responsible for tracking assigned project deliverables and timely completion and assess risks
  • Action-oriented, able to anticipate challenges and be able to demonstrate the ability to suggest solutions that are sustainable
  • Absorb government requirements, staffing and communicate those requirements effectively across multiple team members and prime/subcontracting partners
  • Enter actual time worked, once complete, at the end of the day, or no later than 10:00 a.m. the following workday, and submit timesheets at the end of each pay period.
  • Monitor team member time submission requirements for compliance
  • Submit MSRs (weekly, monthly, etc.)
  • Complete required compliance training as assigned by manager or human resources.
  • Other duties as assigned by HR and Program Manager
  • The performance of this position is key to RavenTek’ s performance on assigned projects, contracts, and therefore RavenTek’ s mission to support the customer

Qualifications, Knowledge and Critical Skills

  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proven proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Proven proficiency in the use of the Google Suite, including Google Sheets, Docs, and slides.
  • Proven proficiency in the use of the internet, email applications, and database applications.
  • Demonstrate the ability to appropriately handle sensitive and extensive confidential information.
  • Excellent skills in communicating both orally and in writing, in plain language with diverse groups of internal and external stakeholders, in addition to technical and non-technical audiences.

Experience and Education

  • A minimum of four years of government contracting experience in Project Management
  • Previous experience managing large professional services/SETA projects
  • Experience managing funding, period of performance and contract T&C’s
  • Bachelor’s degree in management or related field
  • Experience with HR related issues with staff and when to escalate to key stakeholders
  • Experience with QMS, risk management and mitigation
  • Experience with long term planning in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective leadership and strategic thinking across contracts and projects
  • Experience in PWS and SOW interpretation and requirement gathering
  • A minimum of four years of experience managing onsite and remote staff sizes ranging between 25-50 employees
  • Experience in managing sub/prime relationships with staffing contracts

Certifications, Licenses

  • PMP preferred but not required
  • Ability to obtain an PMP certification within 6 months of hire
  • Ability to obtain a minimum of a secret clearance

Work Environment

  • Essential functions will be completed in a typical indoor office environment with regular exposure to video monitors. When working on-site, employee will be working indoors in an office environment with other people. Potential moderate temperature fluctuations. Typical indoor and computer related noise level, and typical office, paper, and equipment related dust. Exposure to video display terminals occurs on a regular basis.

Physical Demands

  • Employee needs to be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
  • Most positions require ability to work on desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and providing recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing.
  • Employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 20 pounds.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
