Project Manager
The Project Manager is responsible for managing a small number of strategic projects, at any one time, whilst also providing mentorship and support to the broader team in Chicago.
Primarily responsible for managing any assigned, CAMMS software implementation projects within new and existing client sites, the Project Manager's advice will be called on to ensure the Services Team is sufficiently resourced, profitable and ultimately upholding the company’s commitment to Customer Success. Acting in a hands on capacity, the Project Manager will be available to Project Manager’s and Services team members across the CAMMS NA business, to share advice on acclaimed Project Management methodologies and practices.
Responsibilities
- Manage the execution of CAMMS’ strategic software implementation projects; including but not limited to:
- Creating clear and attainable project objectives, building the project requirements, and managing all constraints for projects, including cost, time, scope and resources;
- Provide scope of works within delegated authority;
- Managing relationships with clients and stakeholders;
- Coordinating and coaching allocated project resources to meet client requirements; and
- Resolve project management issues, escalate to the Head of Services where necessary, and actively manage project risks.
- Accountable for providing strategic oversight and support to project managers leading large software implementation projects at global client sites.
- Regularly liaise with product owners to obtain updates on new product features and improvements;
- Secure growth opportunities within client sites where possible and initiate new projects;
- Report to Project Steering Committee where required via cammsproject.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Education and Abilities:
- Minimum of 5 years previous experience in in a similar role;
- An understanding of how software is developed;
- An ability to own and deliver software projects with complex inter-dependencies, including the responsibility to act autonomously for the right outcome for the customer;
- Experience in building rapport with a range of stakeholders including software developers, software engineers, domain experts and business functions;
- An ability to triage technical issues and direct remediation activities to the right team;
- Highly developed interpersonal, negotiation, consultation, facilitation, cross-cultural communication and customer service skills;
- Proven ability to engage, develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders from diverse cultures.
