OPPORTUNITY
Niram is seeking job candidates for the on-site Project Engineer position at construction project(s) in the Stonybrook Long Island and Brooklyn NY areas. The Project Engineer assists in the management of site logistics, progress reporting, subcontractor coordination, submittal processing, safety and other required communications. The position reports to the Project Manager. This is an exceptional opportunity to develop expertise as a construction professional through immediate exposure to all disciplines of unique and challenging projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities of the Project Engineer include, but are not limited to:
- Maintaining document management
- Maintaining daily progress reports and logs
- Coordinating tradesmen and sub-contractors
- Coordinating and processing submittals
- Ensuring adherence to safety requirements
- Ensuring adherence to logistic requirements
- Assisting the management team as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified candidates will possess:
- BA/BS in Construction Management, Construction Science, Engineering, Architecture or similar
- Prior working experience in a construction or related business
- Comprehension of construction drawings and specifications (preferred)
- Comprehension of construction means and methods (preferred)
