Project Engineer - Commercial Construction Job at Robinson Construction Co.
The Project Engineer supports the Superintendent and Project Manager on as assigned project. Performs routine daily activities and assists in gathering and distributing information to team members. Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills and manages time effectively.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Prepare, review, and distribute RFIs. Maintain RFI Log.
- Maintain job Rental Authorization Log.
- Maintain job files and as-builts. Post RFIs to as-builts.
- Perform jobsite safety orientation of Robinson employees.
- I-9 Verification Program: Verify I-9s/ID, badge workers, and maintain documentation in secure file.
- Ensure Health & Safety Plan is followed by all personnel on jobsite.
- Maintain Owner, Architect/Engineer, Subcontractor, Local Jurisdictional, and Vendor relations.
- Maintain Building Envelope Notebook. Back-up all building envelope pictures on RCC server weekly.
- Maintain thorough understanding of contract documents and subcontracts.
- Maintain Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan and ensure subcontractor compliance (If no Site Development Engineer onsite)
- Prepare meeting minutes for all job meetings.
- Complete required tasks daily: Timecards, Purchase Orders, Work Orders, RCC Daily Paperwork Packet, & collecting Subcontractor Daily Job Reports.
- Manage UPS shipping.
- Complete Work Orders DAILY.
- Photograph project weekly and upload to RCC server by end of week.
- Participate in weekly Safety Committee Meeting.
- Inspect material deliveries (RCC and subcontractor) and verify materials used are per contract documents.
- All Changes to contract documents to be approved through RFI process.
- Manage project closeout and obtain all warranties required for final acceptance. Maintain Closeout Log.
- Maintain Punch List Log with Project Superintendent.
- Perform other duties assigned.
- Notify Project Manager immediately of any subcontractor back-charges.
- Oversee intern.
- Ensure company procedures and standards are maintained.
Qualifications
- Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications.
- Positive Attitude.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Microsoft Project.
- Knowledge of Procore Construction Management Software.

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
