This position will support the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Administration for Children and Families (ACF), Office of Family Assistance (OFA) in initiatives and activities to support Healthy Marriage and Responsible Fatherhood grantees across the country.

About this position:

The purpose of this position is to support the firm’s Health and Human Services market and training and technical assistance practice line by providing targeted support to Healthy Marriage and Responsible Fatherhood (HMRF) grantees, with an aim of improving grantee performance. The position will also provide targeted support to the HMRF Program Office, with the aim of successfully completing activities necessary to support grantees in achieving their goals and objectives.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

Provide strategic direction and oversight by managing the successful execution of day-to-day operations of the project:

  • Develop and implement project management plans in accordance with contract provisions
  • Provide project management, including tracking and reporting on project activities, budgets, materials, and deliverables.
  • Oversee and monitor staff and project resources, including subcontractors and subject matter experts (SMEs).
  • Coordinate teams of subcontractors, consultants, SMEs, and TA providers.
  • Oversee the development of technical assistance resources such as papers, reports, manuals, online tutorials, and resource guides.
  • Provide direction to the development and maintenance of web-based technologies to support information dissemination and collaboration among program grantees.
  • Coordinate logistics, material development, and scheduling.
  • Provide responsive customer service to government clients and stakeholders; and
  • Review all project deliverables to ensure high quality and timely submission
Qualifications:
  • At a minimum, a bachelor’s degree (preferably in the social services sector) and at least seven years of practitioner-level field experience working with diverse grantee organization types (e.g., community-based, state agencies, tribes, colleges, and universities, or faith-based).
  • Specific, practitioner-level knowledge and field experience in the healthy marriage and responsible fatherhood fields i.e. authorizing legislation, program design, and developing implementation strategies.
  • General knowledge of the social sciences, including its principles and methods, extensive knowledge of adult learning theories, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient in project management, TTA development and implementation, and evaluating training and technical assistance service delivery.
  • History of managing complex projects, leading project teams, and developing strategic plans for effective TTA provision.
