Looking for a Project Cost Analyst, with strong financial analysis and experience with utility specific experience, locally near Tulsa, OK. (JP8237) (3 Open positions)

12 Month Contract with potential to convert to permanent.

Pay Rate: $39.28 hourly + benefits

Position would be hybrid, working fully onsite on Mondays & Tuesdays and remote the remainder of the week, M-F, 8 to 5, possible OT.

Traveling (10%) consists of traveling to Project job sites for kick off meetings and once a quarter go to a project site and do a safety observation. Some overnights, usually 1 or 2 nights, traveling south, down into different parts of Texas for onsite projects.

REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree with one (1) year experience OR associate degree with three (3) years' experience.

Qualified degrees must be in Accounting, Business, Construction Management, Engineering, Technology, or Project Management.

Needing utility specific operations knowledge/experience. As well as experience in design, operations, planning, project management, cost tracking analysis, forecasting, and project budgets, working with accounting principles, construction, or maintenance of systems, and/or equipment.

You would be coordinating project cost analysis and controls for team while supporting the Project Managers (PMs) including cost reporting for multiple projects and monitoring project budgets to ensure accurate depiction of project cost on projects.

Inputting budgets, providing ongoing forecast updates, and variance analysis. Input and track of key performance indicators (KPIs), and work collaboratively with project teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Communicate with internal and/or external customers.

Conduct training (providing process improvement) and develop tools.

Responsible for work orders, coordinating with subcontractors and vendors, and overall project budget and schedule.

Essential Job Functions & Tasks:

  • Coordinate project meetings. Support the PM in the preparation and updating of project documentation and planning.
  • Prepare forecasts of project spending and cash flows, budget variance monitoring, cost tracking/analysis. Provide analysis and verification for Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) activities and assist with annual budget, capital forecasts, five-year plan and improvement requisitions. Perform estimate vs. actuals analysis.
  • Collaborate with Project Management (PM) on variance reporting and/or establish baseline budgets.
  • Create project breakdown structures. Perform tracking, analyzing, and verifying information for unvouchered liabilities (UVLs), keeping project system records current and complete, and coordinating the work order process related to a project from creation of the work order through in-servicing and closing.
  • May assist in the contracting process. This might include bidding, analysis of cost, cost tracking, etc.
  • Communicate with project team, resources, and other internal and external stakeholders on various budgetary items.
  • Apply problem solving skills to resolve technical problems and initiate solution techniques.
  • Develop and compile KPIs that are measurable outcomes.
  • Providing strong teamwork with colleagues, resolving work order issues and/or implementing action plans in a fast-paced, results-oriented team.
  • Provide training and guidance to lower level employees as needed.
  • Recommend improvements that enhance the role, project performance, and performance as needed.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and team. Use Decision making skills.
