Job Description:
The Project Coordinator will perform research primarily on projects aimed at reducing health disparities among ethnically diverse populations. Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating various aspects of research projects, from planning to implementation and evaluation. The Project Coordinator will work closely with the research team and participants to ensure the project is completed successfully.
These responsibilities include team management duties (such as coordination, scheduling, and supervision); overseeing the data collection process, manage data quality assurance and data analysis; and developing material for participants or the research team. The Project Coordinator will also be involved in preparing data and writing articles for peer-reviewed manuscripts as well as abstracts for conferences.
In general, the Project Coordinator will oversee IRB protocol management.
This is a fixed-term research position with a current end date of 2/29/2024, which may be extended based upon available funding.

Education
  • Required: Bachelor’s degree
  • Preferred: Master’s degree
Experience
  • 1-2 years’ experience in Public Health Research.
  • Experience with both qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
  • Project coordination experience (preferred).
  • The candidate must possess a willingness and ability to support and promote a diverse and inclusive campus community.
  • Experience with dietary data assessment (preferred)

  • Knowledge of basic human subjects research procedures including quantitative data collection (surveys); qualitative data collection (interviews); developing study materials; obtaining IRB approval;
  • Excellent verbal presentation skills, interpersonal skills, and written communication skills
  • Fluent in Spanish
