Project Coordinator – Packaging Industry (not IT)

Berkley is hiring a Project Coordinator in our Bentonville, AR office to support the Project Management Team with providing the best possible service to our customers.

We are looking for a Project Coordinator to enter customer and vendor purchase orders (POs) into our system, create bills of material, ship materials to our customer and to our partners, and invoice customer orders. The candidate must understand a manufacturing/distribution environment. The candidate will have to handle complex, multicomponent vendor and customer shipments. The candidate will report to the Director of Project Management and will work closely with a Project Manager on a book of business. Strong organizational, creative management and multitasking skills are required. You will often have to take charge in vague situations to ensure timeliness and accuracy of inbound and outbound shipments.

Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in Project Kickoff Meetings, being able to both advise and take direction from the Project Manager.
  • Work with the Project Manager to identify the What, When, Where and How for a project.
  • Create system part numbers.
  • Input customer orders in the system.
  • Input vendor purchase orders into the system.
  • Follow up with vendors to confirm PO was received and advise the Project Manager on the expected delivery date.
  • Store all relevant project design materials and purchase orders in a cloud-based filing system.
  • Create and keep up to date a profitability report for each project.
  • Create Bills of Material (BOMs) in the system and execute the kitting within the system when applicable.
  • Plan and track all inbound shipments to ensure the right items and quantities arrive before production.
  • Receive items into the system as they arrive.
  • Enforce company policies for timing of receipt of paperwork
  • Immediately address and resolve any receiving and/or inventory issues.
  • Communicate damages and/or shipment issues and process vendor returns.
  • Obtain freight quotes for customer requested outbound shipping.
  • Plan and track shipments of final products according to customer requirements.
  • Validate Bills of Lading from carriers and ensure all pick lists and packing slips are available 24 hours before shipment.
  • Arrange same-day deliveries whenever possible, including Fed Ex.
  • Provides additional backup support to Project Manager as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics or Business Analytics (preferred)
  • 3+ years' experience in customer service or logistics management preferred
  • Quick learner with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain focus, and adapt to a variety of challenges
  • Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes
  • Computer-savvy with a working knowledge of QuickBooks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Keen on working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong sense of time organization and urgency

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
