Our generous benefits package increases the total compensation of a full-time (benefits eligible) Program Specialist DHW making $31.00/hour to an estimated $43.68/hour.
General Information:
- This position will be working under the direction of the Performance Improvement and Accreditation Director.
- This position also requires applicants to become certified in CPR and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention.

Hospital Standards Compliance
- Analyzes current, proposed, amended, and new state, federal and The Joint Commission regulations to assess program compliance.
- Works with Department Heads to ensures hospital policies, procedures and process are being followed.
- Tracks all hospital policies and procedures for annual and/or periodic review to ensure they are updated according to requirements.
- Assist in facilitating the preparation of and execution of any corrective action plans and service development plans.
- May assist in quarterly audit of clinical records.
- Identifies areas of improvement in documentation, systems, and programming as they relate to regulatory standards.
- Review requested medical records to ensure quality of records.
- Helps define trends, collect data, generate needed spreadsheets to track information.
- May develop and conduct training for staff and coordinate development activities.
- May conduct interviews and surveys of staff and participants to determine operational effectiveness.
- Participates in review of operational findings and works cooperatively with staff to suggest, support, and implement strategies to improve operation.
- May prepare summaries and analysis, and issues papers and reports to communicate operational status, options, opportunities for improvement, and best practices.
Experience developing, recommending, and evaluating policy and procedures and recommending changes.- Experience developing technical written materials such as policies, technical manuals, or rules/regulations.
- Experience providing technical program assistance to staff.
